Communication of the geosciences has never been more important.
On behalf of the National Exploration Undercover School (NExUS) I would like to welcome you to Dr. Haydon Mort's highly regarded Geocommunication course. The NExUS program was founded in 2016 and is funded by the Minerals Council of Australia and administered through the University of Adelaide. NExUS aims to assist early career geoscientists and to 'fill the gap' between university and industry and completing this course will assist in your ability to engage with the public and stakeholders.
The course is considered a voluntary extracurricular activity and will not contribute towards any academic achievement for the University of Adelaide. However, as geoscientists we all have a responsibility to communicate the value of our discipline to society and Haydon and I are confident that this enjoyable course will help give you valuable transferable skills and techniques to assist effective communication, and it will look great on your CV!
